He has taught at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and the University of Oregon. He is a member of the AIA and a registered Architect in Oregon and California and is NCARB certified.

Internationally acclaimed designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby founded their eponymous studio in 1996 after graduating with Master’s degrees in Architecture from The Royal College of Art in London. From their first studio in Trellick Tower in London, they designed their first piece, the Loop Table, produced by Isokon in 1997. Much of Barber and Osgerby’s early work involved the folding and shaping of sheet material, influenced by the white card that they had used frequently in architectural model making. Plywood and perspex were used in the development of the Pilot Table, 1999, and Stencil Screen, 2000.

The BOS Practice was formed in 1994 when Andrew Bull and Michael O'Sullivan sharing the same studio, having recently returned from practice in Europe and Asia respectively, decided to combine forces to attend to the larger projects coming into the BOS Practice. Glenn Watt joined in 1999 after a long and expansive career as a sole practitioner. Prior to founding Round Hill Music, from 2002 to 2009, Mr. Gruss worked at Gruss Asset Management where he held various positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as a Partner and member of the investment and executive committees. Concurrently, from 2003 to 2011, he was a Vice President at Gruss & Co., Inc., where he was a member of the investment and executive committees. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Gruss worked in investment banking at Bear Stearns & Co. From 1997 to 1999, he worked at Warner Music Group as an Assistant Director in product development. Mr. Gruss graduated with a B.A. from Trinity College and earned an M.B.A. from both Columbia University and London Business School.
