Iso Suomu Created in 1966 by designer Annika Rimala, Iso Suomu is a versatile pattern that is a mainstay in today's fashions from Marimekko. Rimala's sartorial creations regularly appeared on the covers of international fashion magazines in the 1960s, including Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, and Elle. Rimala worked for Marimekko from 1960-1982 and her work continues to inspire contemporary fashion designers.

"It is a tremendous challenge to build 9,000 feet from the ground, and the site typically receives more than 500 inches of snowfall per year," says architect Brian MacKay-Lyons. "There were no roads or services, and we needed to minimize the amount of concrete used in this project due to the high cost of pouring concrete on a mountaintop."

Iso Organizer L is a minimal design created by Washington-based designer Field. The ISO Organizer L is the latest addition to the Field collection. Longer and lower profile than the original ISO Organizer, the “L” works throughout the entire home, from desktop to mantel to entryway table. The design and dimensions of the ISO Organizer L are driven by international paper standards. It is constructed from heavy-gauge cold rolled steel and weighs nearly six pounds, giving it a substantial heft.

Within the historic Jackson Square district in downtown San Francisco, Jensen Architects crafted a vibrant space inside of a former printing factory, housing over 9,000 square feet of office space for Next World Group. A collaborative relationship with the client resulted in efficient work and meeting spaces as well as secluded corners and playful open areas. Acoustic separation was addressed with glass offices, and sound was further dampened by colorful hanging felt panels and a white stretch fabric ceiling. Dunn's green acres often have to move because of shifting urban planning, and recently, five young Chicago designers came up with the Mobile City Farmstead that allows his team to move in style. Using a diverse range of materials, such as straw bales, salvaged shipping crates, and canvas, they have teamed together to create a uniquely urban architectural prototype that doubles as an excellent place to buy salad greens.
