Designed by 1920s minimalist decorator Jean-Michel Frank for Hermès, this nesting-box side table sports an intricate, yet restrained finish of natural rye straw marquetry.

In writing “Divine Intervention," Kelly Vencill Sanchez found herself drawn to the St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Arkansas. “Architect Marlon Blackwell’s transformation of a satellite dish into a dome was inspired,” she says.

That’s one of the things I loved about Jack Hawkins’s renovation for the Hobsons—no clutter and a place for everything.”

Set next to protected wetlands and close to the beach, House for Hermes is located about 90 minutes south of Melbourne.

Thanks to passive cooling techniques such as natural ventilation, the House for Hermes does not need air conditioning in the summer.

The custom banquette has a slatted back so as to allow the window behind it to open and let in light. The table is a vintage piece from John and Kelly, made with reclaimed wood from a bowling alley. The overhead pendant is by Brendan Ravenhill.

Kelly Milford helps son Adam out of the hot tub nestled on a wood deck in back of the house. The exterior paint is Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore.

After: Kelly uses her office less, but the cabinet hides one element that's used every single day: a foldout ironing board, a necessity for the couple who founded the gender-defying fashion brand Kirrin Finch.

Two vintage Don Chadwich for Herman Miller chairs upholstered in Kvadrat sit in front of a walnut feature wall. The painting is by artist Kelly Zellers, whom Natalie has worked with extensively throughout her design career.

After: Architect Luki Anderson of Studio Officina created a serene primary suite that reflects the minimalist aesthetic owners Laura and Kelly Moffat prefer. The walls are painted Benjamin Moore Super White, and the DWR bed features pull-out drawers for hidden storage.
