Andrew Weinstein stands in the living room of his Long Island abode designed by Bates Masi + Architects. The architects toggled wall panels and panes of custom-cut window glass on the front of the house that let in light while leaving room for large-format artwork like Adam Parker Smith’s American Totem.

Bull Head in White Gold Leaf A new piece that’s exclusive to A&G, these custom-made papier-mache heads provide a handmade touch and dramatic impact on a wall, and are light enough to hang with a single nail.

One of Rose's favorite signs belongs to the Indianhead Motel in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. "The colorful headdress on this one—repainted as recently as 2008—is even more stunning in person," he says. "Thanks to help from the local historical society, I was able to trace its origins back to 1958 when a man named Ernest Cote first opened the motel."

Smart shower heads In addition to the toilet, the shower is often a source of water loss in the bathroom. The Aero Rain Shower by TOTO, pictured, uses Aero-Jet technology, which infuses air into the water stream. This creates voluminous water droplets that contain less water than normal drops.

Brooklyn-based design duo Stefanie Brechbuehler and Robert Highsmith render cast iron, steel and brass into the handsome Workstead Floor Lamp. Defined by a crane-like profile, it at once reaches out and sits steadily waiting. The adjustable arm can be positioned as a reading lamp or a spotlight.
