The Living Space: Custom kitchen island and sliding doors were designed to reflect the family's Asian American background.

The design team embraced Ibiza's upscale club culture when designing the hotel's two signature restaurants, the modern Asian cuisine-based Izakaya and The Butcher, an upscale seasonal "burger joint."

8Coin Asia

Walking down the stalls of the Asia Now exhibit, I came across a wealth of canny design from across the massive continent. I also loved the setup of the exhibition itself, a tour of the best of Asia organized into what feel like high-design market stalls.

Emylia and Minh use their plants to make a variety of foods and drinks. On one side of the kitchen, over-head cabinets store fermenting jars of vegetables, fruits, and beverages, such as kombucha, as well as molds for making kueh, traditional Southeast Asian sweets.

The custom headboard is wrapped in blueish-green jute suede with inset rattan, while the custom closet is painted in Asian Paints “Misty Harbour” with more rattan pressed between glass. The acacia table lamp is from Fleck.

Elevating the ambiance with artwork by Pradnya More, set against grey Palladio flooring sourced from Kishangarh. Enhancing the decor with a custom table lamp crafted by LADLAB in white Makrana marble, complemented by walls painted in button rose by Asian Paints.

A vibrant and eclectic 65-seater diner in Kiev, Ukraine that serves Asian street food, Kitaika designed by AKZ Architectura was inspired by street culture in Asia and Ukraine. Combining carnival-like elements, bold colors, garlands of exposed light bulbs, and eye-catching graffiti, this little diner is a surreal and delightful take on Asian dining.
