A European-style chalet known locally as the "white castle" was recently listed just outside of Truckee, California, en route to Tahoe City. Built in 2009, the former bed and breakfast features massive timber beams, custom ironwork, and hand-carved wood throughout the interior. Yet, it's the white stucco facade—designed to resemble packed snow—that gives the home its name and iconic status in the area.

The recently listed "Snow Haus" is located along River Road—a popular route connecting Truckee, California, with the western side of Lake Tahoe. The property was last sold in 2017 and subsequently underwent a three-year renovation.
