    Konstantin Grcic is a German industrial designer known for harnessing new technologies and materials to create stunning works of modern design. Born in 1965, he apprenticed as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in the UK before studying industrial design at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1991, he founded KGID, Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design. His work has includes the MAYDAY lamp for Flos, Miura barstool and Myto cantilever chair for Plank, and Chair One and 360 Containers for Magis in addition to creations for Lassicon, Krups, Moroso, Vitra, Luminaire, and Muji. He lives and works in Munich.

Deltour studied applied art and design at the Olivier de Serres in Paris, and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in industrial design from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Deltour worked as a designer and project leader in Munich at Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design from 2006–2009. She has lived and worked in Paris since 2010, and works on a range of commission projects spanning industrial products, furniture, jewelry, and public space installations.     Axel Schmid was born in 1971 in Nassau/Bahamas. After a practical training in metal and wood working, he studied industrial design at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kuenste Stuttgart in the classes of Prof. Klaus Lehmann and Prof. Richard Sapper. After his graduation he gained a scholarship to Japan from the German Industrial Design association VDID. He is currently working for Ingo Maurer in Munich. He received various awards, amongst others the Bavarian State Awardfor young designers.

    Maria Jeglinska established her firm, Office for Design & Research, in 2010. “What I named my practice reflects my attitude toward my projects,” she says. “I’ve always been driven by the ongoing process of learning.” She completed two high-profile internships—assisting with Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Hella Jongerius exhibitions at Paris’s Galerie Kreo and in Konstantin Grcic’s Munich studio—before joining Alexander Taylor in London. In 2011, she moved back to her hometown of Warsaw. Poland’s manufacturing heritage, says Jeglinska, is built on the “idea of creating with minimal resources to produce the maximum.” She uses that principle to inform her design work, which include a slew of products for Ligne Roset, a custom tea service for local porcelain manufacturer Porcelana Kristoff, and an in-progress collection of metal wire furniture for Polish brand Meble Vox, inspired by the Warsaw café culture of the 1950s and ’60s.

    Peter Nitsch got his start in the early eighties German Skater scene. He is co-founder of Playboard Magazine, ADDICTED TO SNOW, rupa design, and rupa media, and has won several international awards both as designer and photographer. His work as designer has been in the area of print and on-air design for clients such as Universal Studios, ProSieben, 13th Street, SciFi Channel and United Nations. Peter Nitsch is among the representatives of fine art photography in Germany. The cultural process of upheaval in Southeast Asia and especially the conflict between Thai identity and the globalised living conditions in the region are focuses of his photographic work. Nitsch lives and works in Munich and Bangkok.
