  • Davey McEathron Architecture
    @daveymceathron
    Davey McEathron Architecture was founded in the summer of 2014 with the belief that architecture should be a fun and rewarding process for everyone involved. Building a new home, or remodeling an existing one can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be. Collaboration is a key component in our design process. DMA works with the owner, alongside a team of engineers, sustainability consultants, contractors, landscape architects and other architects to reach a design solution that will excite and explore the possibilities of what a project can be. DMA attempts to make the ecological footprint of every project that we design as minimal as possible. We enjoy implementing sustainable technologies - new and old.

    @modboxusa
    modbox USA was founded in 2014 after Greg Kelly realized his frustration of not being able to find a mailbox that complemented his newly renovated midcentury home. He designed a retro inspired mailbox that pulls design elements from mailboxes created in the 1950s and ‘60s. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the first modboxes were produced in 2014. modbox USA now produces a fleet of midcentury-inspired mailboxes in several colorways.
  • Olson Kundig
    @olsonkundig
    Olson Kundig is a full-service design firm whose work includes residences (often for art collectors), museums and exhibition design, hospitality projects, commercial design, academic buildings, interior design, visual identities, and places of worship. The firm is led by five owners—Jim Olson, Tom Kundig, Kirsten R. Murray, Alan Maskin, and Kevin Kudo-King—who are supported by eleven principals, twenty-four associates, and a staff of approximately 165 in the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood of downtown Seattle. The firm opened a workspace in New York in 2014 to better serve its expanding roster of East Coast and international clients. The in-house interiors studio, founded in 2000, provides a full range of services, including material selection, custom furniture design, and purchasing capabilities. The firm began its creative existence in 1966 with the architect Jim Olson, whose work at that time centered on explorations of the relationship between dwellings and the landscapes in which they inhabit. Olson started the firm based on the essential ideas that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture, histories, and people, and that inspiring surroundings have a positive effect on people’s lives. Among the firm’s accolades are the 2009 National AIA Architecture Firm Award (as Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects), national and regional design awards from the American Institute of Architects, Jim Olson’s 2007 Seattle Medal of Honor and Tom Kundig’s National Design Award from the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt and his Academy Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Books on the firm’s work include Tom Kundig: Works (Princeton Architectural Press); Jim Olson: Art and Architecture (August Editions, 2013); Tom Kundig Houses 2 (Princeton Architectural Press, 2011); Jim Olson Houses (The Monacelli Press, 2009); and Tom Kundig: Houses (Princeton Architectural Press, 2006.) www.olsonkundig.com

  • CHANDLER FARMS
    @chadhogan
    Chad and Lara Hogan founded Chandler Farms in 2014 after almost ten years of collaboration. Though they have very different backgrounds (Chad is an artist, designer and creative having made album covers for rappers such as Biggie Smalls and P Diddy and Lara is a buzz marketing expert having worked her way up in NYC through the PR agency world), their differences make them a strong duo, a bit of yin and yang. The two first met in 2006 at Glaceau (makers of vitaminwater and smartwater) where Lara was the PR Director and Chad was the Creative Director. In their parallel roles they collaborated to create events (Sundance, NBA All Star, etc.), marketing programs (vitaminwater’s first Facebook promo) and creative campaigns (50 cent’s Formula 50, Steve Nash viral video, etc.) for the brands. Years after Lara left the company, the two continued taking on creative projects as a team. Eventually the two best friends got engaged and that ultimate collaboration brought their relationship to a deeper level when they bought, gutted and co-designed their dream home in Topanga Canyon. The Chandler Farms team is a creative duo who take on projects that align with their aesthetic and vision and range from residential to commercial to corporate branding. All of their projects allow them to create, design, strategize and build brands, spaces and ideas.
