James Renwick designed the twin townhouses in 1854. Renwick was considered one of the most successful architects of his time and is famous for having designed numerous structures, including St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City as well as The Smithsonian Institute Building in Washington, DC, commonly known as “The Castle.” Pictured is 123 East 10th Street.
