After nearly 15 years, fashion designer Johnson Hartig is letting go of his Hancock Park home in Los Angeles. The cofounder of Libertine—the bold, L.A.–based clothing line popular among A-listers like Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, and Mick Jagger—purchased the property in 2005, and has since transformed it into his own art gallery.

Known as the Citrus House (due to its location on North Citrus Avenue), the single-story, Spanish Mediterranean residence is carefully concealed behind a garden of tall, thick hedges, offering a divine city retreat. Upon arrival, an enclosed front porch leads into the home's main living areas.

The 1925 residence was previously highlighted in multiple publications, including Domino, Coveteur, and the Los Angeles Times. High ceilings enhance the sense of space, while an open floor plan makes the home feel much larger than its actual 1,838 square feet. Chalk-white walls and floors create a blank canvas for vibrant patterns and colorful artwork.

As part of the renovation, Hartig modernized the home’s three bedrooms and two baths, as well as the kitchen, dining, and living areas.
