Ligne Roset Facett Sofa
With a portfolio that ranges from objects and jewelry to architecture, videos, spatial arrangements, and photography, the Paris-based Bouroullec brothers have brought an impressive selection of unique furnishings to the market since they’ve been working together for the last 15 years. Their Facett seating collection for Ligne Roset is no exception. Consisting of two settee sizes, an armchair—with a swiveling option—and two accompanying ottomans, the range celebrates purity and perfection of design. Ronan and Erwan created a minimalist and graphic silhouette that seems to grow out of the floor—and boasts a removable cover with complex stitching that recalls origami or cut stones. The makeup of the pieces (the Medium Sofa is shown here) consists of three layers of criss-cross panels and thermoformed polystyrene that’s overlaid with polyether foam. The suspended seat is supported by elastic webbing while the integral seat cushion is formed with resilient polyurethane Bultex foam.
