The Hanging Egg Chair from Sika Design is an undeniable classic. The floating chair has earned critical acclaim since its release by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel in 1959. Balancing a work of art with a functional seat, it can be hung from a ceiling or outdoor porch, or can be propped on its lacquered steel stand. To this day, the indoor version is made of rattan, which is the same material that was used on the original design. The outdoor style adopts a similar look with the use of ArtFibre, a polyethylene weave that's designed to withstand the elements. Each hanging chair comes in either natural or black rattan and includes a cushion that nestles into the bottom perfectly.
