As a Los Angeles-based company that believes in designing and building products that blend innovation, function, and playfulness, Bend was inspired by old Amish barn architecture when creating their Farmhouse Lounge Chair. By combining traditional elements with geometric shapes, they formed a modern, light-hearted chair that’s surprisingly comfortable. Bend’s founder Gaurav Nanda leads a tight-knit team that machine-molds each piece from galvanized iron that’s hot-dipped and powder-coated in a variety of bright colors. As a sculptor and designer from Michigan, Nanda’s experience as a vehicle interior model sculptor at GM provided a backdrop for the functional and shapely pieces he creates, which are all proudly made in the USA. Each chair is built to be corrosion-resistant and can be used both indoors and out.
