Brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec founded their own design firm in 1999, where they work on everything from architectural projects to small utilitarian items such as furniture, tableware and home accessories. The brothers are primarily focused on and dedicated to the organization of interior spaces, and believe that "a designer should be able to observe and to understand the context," says Ronan. Even the name of their Baguette Table (2011) is in keeping with this approach as it refers to the original usage of the word "baguette," meaning wand or baton, as in baguette magique (magic wand). Giving the illusion of floating in space, the hefty tabletop is supported by a sleek base that’s "made from the least amount of aluminum possible," says Erwan. The 33" depth of this table makes it suitable for workspace or dining room. Made in Italy.
