We looked at how a product can mark off an area and so create its own zone the user steps into. The extruded armrests and hanging seat is a result of this."

Jonas R. Stokke and Øystein Austad, who work in Oslo, Norway, under the name StokkeAustad, created this Dayboard calendar in order to give people more freedom to arrange the year as they see fit. Each individual date is affixed to the steel base with magnets, allowing users to move the days around.

This lacquered aluminum pendant lamp is basically a cube with three sides removed. There's a stretch fabric inside that spans the outer edges of the lamp and obscures the bulb.

The Patch panels by Norwegian studio StokkeAustad are the ultimate flexible wall covering, as they can be rearranged freely. Made with various textiles and pieces of mirror, brass, and stone, they both absorb sound and add bright color to a space.
