Panton chairs from Vitra adorn the guest bedroom and office.
Known for his use of bold color and innovative forms, Verner Panton designed the Panton Chair for Vitra in 1960. Interested in the capability of plastic, Panton designed the chair to be comfortable and versatile enough to be used anywhere. The Panton Chair is the first chair to be created from only one piece of material, using a single mold, and it will be a welcome addition to any midcentury lover’s home.
With the home’s glass walls pulled open, the patio and fire pit become an extension of the dining room.

The Vitra Miniature Collection presents important modern furniture classics in a smaller size. Although more petite than the full-size originals, each part of the Vitra Minature series is an exact 1:6 replica of the historical design, including the construction, materials, and colors. This set of five Panton chairs is an exact miniature of Verner Panton’s original design. The Panton chair is known for being crafted out of a single material and mold, and features a cantilevered design.

The dining room features 1970s leather-and-brass dining chairs and a table concocted from a brass-and-silver base and a custom lacquered top. The cheerful blue paint enlivening the doorway is from Emery & Cie.

Another area of the VitraHaus holds the Classic Chairs Collection. Among the featured seats are (left to right) the DCW Plywood Group by Charles and Ray Eames from 1945/46, the Vegetal by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec from 2008, and the Panton Chair by Verner Panton from 1999.
Chair Necessities

The couple’s four Chair One dining chairs by Konstantin Grcic for Magis are among their most prized possessions. They had been given their dining table as a wedding gift but couldn’t afford enough chairs to surround it, so they opted for a wooden bench on one side

and the Grcic chairs on the other. Davor says he’s pleased they purchased the chairs early in the design process before the budget got really tight.

When we delivered [the table], my dad and I stood on top of the table to show him how strong it was. [The client] was so impressed and asked us to design chairs to go with it,” Sevak says. The project, dubbed “Five Chairs Times Two” are still in progress.

I was quite smitten with two new chairs at Kristalia. This is the Pulp by Christophe Pillet. With its monochrome cantilever, it's like a fresh, angular update on the classic Panton chair.
