The Standard Collection was inspired by how users interact with the objects around them. Knauf & Brown describe the three objects, a stool, a lamp, and a mirror, as “manual versions of their automatic counterparts.”

Water Based Light is a minimal floor lamp created by Vancouver-based designers Knauf and Brown. The Water Based lamp is a collapsible floor lamp, developed as a response to the problematic issue of shipping heavy weighted bases. Seeking solutions in the outdoor industry, for its focus on lightweight and collapsable materials, Knauf and Brown worked with local manufacturers to create a lamp that ships in a package a fraction of its assembled size and weight. The Lamp’s base is RF welded Duratec fabric used in the construction of inflatable kayaks, and is filled with water for use. An LED luminaire, hidden under a flexible nylon mesh shade, is supported by tent-pole style aluminum tubing.

Rodriguez, a designer and architect who runs the studio Agi Miagi, created the pendant lamp and terrariums in the dining area. The space is open to the living area, where Brown’s son, Hugo, sits on a Living Divani sofa. The countertop-table is by Bercy Chen Studio.

Tack Bench is a minimal bench created by Vancouver-based designers Knauf and Brown. The tack bench takes its form from equestrian accoutrement. The seat is a curved steel surface softened by a thick vegetable tan leather oval with a nod to the shape of a saddle. The curved seat drapes over four slender steel legs with non marking rubber feet.

Allumette is a minimal floor lamp created by Vancouver-based designers Knauf and Brown. The Allumette light is an LED floor light created around a structural aluminum form. Enclosing panels on its sides transition into wide angle reflectors, creating a soft, diffused light. Dimmable on request. Base available as a small footprint bolt down plate or large freestanding plate.

Elli Mirror is a minimalist desktop mirror created by Vancouver-based designers Knauf and Brown. Elli is a simple playful desktop mirror with a shallow circular dish perched within its legs. The dish acts as a vide-poche, providing a place to set daily items. The mirror angle is easily adjusted by tilting its frame; the mirror is inset to reduce fingerprints. The mirror is constructed of steel and glass.
