Simultaneously sculptural and pragmatic, the undulating form of the W Magazine stand’s molded plywood is both pleasing and useful. It’s compact enough for small spaces, though you may be loath to cover up the figurative grain pattern of the walnut with your magazines. $119-$129

This hanging rack meets all the requirements of the loft-owning glitterati: brushed anodized aluminum with a flowing, organic shape. Magazines must be folded to fit, but this Gehryesque flourish could just as well stand alone on your wall. Read more about the Wallpaper Magazine Rack here.

"We find ourselves in the marginal group who still love a simple slice of toast and decided to design something to emphasize this as well as solve a problem that hasn't been addressed for a good 20 to 30 years," Pedersen says of this toast rack. "The size and shape of bread has changed, and so we found that our old inherited toast racks didn't work anymore! Our solution is a simple combination of a wooden breadboard base with a steel or brass rack, which clips in nicely and holds toast [slices] of varying thickness."

Anna: NYMAG's Grumpy Cat Cover

New York Magazine's Oct. 7th cover, photographed by Jeff Minton, was the best thing to hit my mailbox in a long long time. The cover story is about the latest brands who have made it HUGE, all of a sudden making 1 billion dollars and the CEO is like 26 years old. Grumpy Cat was the perfect icon to represent today's "Boom Brands."
