The company sells a range of different furnishings, from beds to sofas to smaller pieces like these American-made leather pouffes, which come in three hues and work great as either an ottoman or coffee table.

On the parlor level, the pigmented plaster walls eschew the finish of paint. A modest reveal between the ceiling plane and the walls ingeniously accommodates a concealed picture rail that runs the perimeter of the room. The 1968 painting above the sofa is by op-artist Julian Stanczak.

Dixon inspects a drawing in the couple’s shared office on the home’s top floor. The space features a sloping ceiling that rises to ten feet at one end. The new wood of the inserted ceiling counterpoints the vintage pumpkin pine floorboards underfoot.

The Meet pouffe and table by A2 was released this at the fair this year. It's intended to be used for public spaces, but I think that it would serve as an ottoman or side table quite nicely.

These Global Hassocks by Marimekko designer Tuula Pöyhönen brighten a hallway of the Marimekko factory. Instructions on how to make these yourself can be found in Marimekko's new book Surrur, a project book featuring fabric crafts and ideas from seven Marimekko designers.

"One thing that is highlighted by this project—and what I’m most interested in—is creating great architecture for limited means," Guess says. "When someone comes to me with constraints, I always feel like there's a better outcome in the end." The pouf, side table, and bookshelf are from CB2.

Dekleva Gregorič Arhitekti, along with resident Robert Stroj, designed most of the furnishings in the house, including the speakers, wall cabinet, and dining table. The beanbag pouffes are by Slacker Sack and the Chair-One dining chairs are by Konstantin Grcic for Magis. The stucco used on the walls was custom made from a mixture of white concrete, coral sand, dune sand, and lime.

These smashing pumpkins are decked out with shades by Warby Parker.

Reissued in 2008, the Pumpkin pouffe ($1,135) is not only an icon, it's an October must.

The denim-colored sofa is from West Elm (a nod to the jean shorts featured in Tyler's "Sunday in the Park" poster), while the pumpkin-hued armchairs were a splurge at Soho Home.

The decking on the rooftop is Burmese teak and the colorful Picot pouffes are by Paola Lenti.

Arthur created the fresh pumpkin salad based on farmers’ market finds.

Functioning as a stool, coffee table, and magazine rack, the Pumpkin is a multifunctional design.

A Tribeca desk from Jesper Office furnishes one of the children’s bedrooms. The cable-knit pumpkin is from Target.

The 510 Cabin is one of Leggitt's designs, executed with the help of student apprentices.

The guest bath features Artistic Tile stone mosaic flooring and walls of Ann Sacks Blue Celeste Field tile and Stone Source Luce Di Ceramica Pumpkin tile.

Inside one of the kids’ bedrooms at the front of the house is an Oeuf Perch lofted double bed, a Pumpkin armchair by Ligne Roset, and a Grain Cut side table in black from Domo.

The kitchen is now part of the large open living space. The 1960s Hygena formica cabinets in Polyester Pumpkin were a vintage find. The white pendants are from IKEA and the blue is from Habitat.

The pumpkin-orange Dordoni Halloween lamp is both UFO- and sun-like—a slightly humorous and cheering sight on a gray day in Holland. It was chosen, says Dedy, “simply because it says ‘welcome home.’”

Henry Pouffe in Treecloud Blue, SCP, $336 Alissa Parker-Walker: "As temperatures start dropping in the North East, I’ve really been into cozy textiles. This pouffe from Donna Wilson for SCP fits the bill. The Treecloud is knitted in Scotland from 100% lambs wool using a traditional Fair Isle knitting technique. If you look closely you will be able to make out the tiny clouds and trees that make up the pattern."
