Now, looking towards the front of the bus, two couches face each other. The couches can seat the whole family and also be converted into a full-sized bed, if needed. There is storage in the couch bases and a shoe shelf by the front door. The Mayes Team writes on their blog: "This has been such a blessing and has helped us to keep the bus organized."

Living and dining spaces wrap around the full-height fireplace.  Original light fixtures remain and have been outfitted with LED lights.
The original built in sofa remains in the Living Room.  Ten foot windows draw nature inside while Maharam and Knoll textiles decorate the furnishings.

The cavernous living room takes advantage of its height with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.
A Mah Jong sofa by Roche Bobois in the living room lends a colorful counterpoint to the custom water feature that runs alongside it.
Built in wood shelving sits below clerestory windows, opposite a large brick fireplace with a sculptural chute.  Expansive windows provide views of the Bay beyond.
Furniture throughout the house echoes the soft materiality of the architectural details, which include original pine floorboards refinished with lye and wood soap. The music room armchair and footstool are vintage, from Ercol; the blue-gray Grasshopper floor lamp is by Greta Grossman from Gubi.
The main house features Africal mahogany woodwork custom-built to Wright’s specifications.
Damen reclines in a Harper chair, also by Adler, with his legs on a pouf he and Cain bought at a warehouse sale. “The look we were going for was modern-rustic glam,” he says. “We mixed vintage and new with treasures found at antique shops in Rhinebeck. Some weekends we made three or four trips, filling the car with trouvés.”
Remodeled by resident and interior decorator Jill McCoy and her husband David Hassall with the help of architect Paul Molina, the open-plan living space opens to a small outdoor area. French doors and a wall of windows bring in light. An Eames lounge chair and a Noguchi table add a modern sensibility.

The yoga and meditation area is placed on the upper level, which also features a partitioned bedroom and private bath. The warm wood floors are heated by hydronic tubes below, while supplemental and more instant heat is provided by a concealed infrared heater in the ceiling.  Greenery surrounds the sides of the property for a serene environment. The industrial supports required to hold the 3 floors above were left exposed, and the burled redwood slabs are exposed and serve as the ceiling and sides to the spaces below.
One of the first homes built in Tuxedo Park, New York, was this “Techbuilt House” designed by prefab pioneer Carl Koch, with plywood interior finishings.
A classic piece like this Eames lounge chair appears dressed down next to a hammock in the office space. Also featured are wooden office chairs by Norman Cherner.
