Dining table also made of same materials with doubled 18 mm plywood glued together and added brass details. Living Room
When Studio Tack was brought on to revive the 1960s structure, they set out to showcase the history and charm of the property—but to do it through a modern lens. They preserved the eccentricities that make the property so special, but brought it into the modern world with fresh new furnishings, updated materials, and a relaxed, bohemian vibe.
The main floor has an open living, dining, and kitchen area with unobstructed views since support beams were unnecessary for the domed structure. The floors are concrete with a decorative finish.
The floor in which the living and dining rooms are located on is made of reclaimed wood. The space takes on a midcentury vibe and has been furnished with pieces from Brazilian designers from the 1950s and 60s, such as Jorge Zalszupin and Sergio Rodrigues.
The concrete bench in the living area just past the kitchen is built into the sloping wall. The Pedro wire stool is by Craig Bond for Candywhistle.
The starbust cedar wall was constructed by local carpenter Nathan Mcconnell.

A view of the lower living space on the ground floor. Green materials used include the FSC-certified cedar on the ceiling, Permlight LED downlights, and a floor of polished concrete with fly ash mix with radiant heating underneath. By the Saey fireplace, a wicker chair from Malawi echoes the lines of Pinch’s Willo table. Matching other pieces to their line “is not an exact science,” Oona says, “just an innate reaction to things we love.”
