The architects designed around another component of their 345 table in the refurnished living room, adding a Ploum sofa and a pair of Elsa armchairs from Ligne Roset.

In the living room, a vintage Danish chair faces a sectional upholstered  in Knoll fabric. The Nelson Ball clock is from Vitra and the throw pillows include a Jonathan Adler Seahorse design. Acacia flooring from Reward Hardwood Flooring was used throughout.

Living Room
The living room furniture, a combination of custom and retail pieces, is oriented toward the views and TV area. The leather-finished black granite coffee tables were designed as two pieces to break up the scale, and the Siren pendant by David Weeks Studios recalls the mobiles of Alexander Calder.
Visitors to the home are greeted by a George Nelson Bubble pendant in the entryway, a striking counterpoint to the home’s traditional shingle facade.
“The vibe feels cozy even though the living room is quite grand,” Adler says. He made the room divider out of concrete and integrated the sofa with the step. Lee Jofa fabric covers the dining chairs and the pendants are vintage.
In the seating area, a trolley found at a flea market functions as the coffee table alongside an expansive Navone–designed sofa for Linteloo. Custom pendants by photographer Mark Eden Schooley hang above the dining table.
A traditional post-war-style old shack near a beach in Lorne, Victoria is remodelled with a top-level extension for better views of the ocean.
Living Room
French doors connect the new addition to the home via the dining room. Constructed in three functional zones, the first section features a butler’s pantry, the center segment includes a dining table and chairs and a family room comprises the remaining space. Floor to ceiling screened windows make the space feel as if it were outdoors.

In the living room, we added a dramatic overhead pendant light, re-positioned one of their favorite art pieces, installed new window shades, and reconfigured the layout for a more open flow. For furniture, we were able to re-use the coffee table, and replace the rest of the furnishings with a fresh new look.
The living room is cozy, but large enough to seat a few friends.
In the living room, an Eames lounge chair 

is matched with a Richard Conover–designed fiberglass chair in similar proportions. A custom coffee table by Asher Israelow com-plements the industrial lighting by Workstead, affixed to walls painted in Farrow and Ball’s Manor House Gray. The sliding doors leading into the home office were fabricated by Markus Bartenschlager.
