Ab Rogers dons a bold suit that suits the spirit of the accompanying decor he designed.

Most of them sound decent enough, particularly for low-fidelity streaming audio files, so novelty can make a product remarkable. That’s the idea behind the OM/ONE, a speaker housed inside a 3.5-inch diameter levitating ball.

The Random Pendant light is created when a resin-drained yarn is randomly coiled around an inflatable beach ball. Once the sphere is set, the beach ball is deflated and extracted through a round opening.

Finn Juhl designed the Poet Sofa for his own home in 1941. Inspired by the modern free art movement, which influenced much of Juhl’s designs, the sofa has a decidedly sculptural shape that rests on four walnut legs. Today, the sofa represents a part of Danish cultural history and modern furniture that exudes the values of craftsmanship, thoughtful design, supreme function, and aesthetic appeal.

"Some see in the cutouts the portrait of a pirate; some, the profile of a whale," Garziano says of the residence's silhouette. "It is interesting to hear different interpretations, but they all belong to the same maritime sphere."

At the top, the view from the roof deck reveals a patchwork of garages and yards surprisingly free of neighbors.
