Taking inspiration from travels to exotic locales, and the conviviality of the expatriate lifestyle, this establishment is Stoke Newington has hints of Asia and the Mediterranean in its design.
The dining area between the living room and balcony is the most light-filled space in the common area. The floors, lining, and bench were built using solid wood ripada.

On the upper level, underneath a domed roof, sleeping areas and a bathroom allow guests to once again enjoy views of the mountains—this time from under a rain shower.
In contrast to the dark, almost monolithic exterior, the interior is full of light, thanks in part to the whitewashed woodwork and floors. “Because the space is so small, I felt I needed to allow the light to travel all over,” says Samantha. The undercounter refrigerator and freezer are by Summit Appliance. Much of the furniture, like the dining table, is built-in.

A wooden bench wraps along a dining corner, and extends along the walls towards the fireplace, where it serves as a bookshelf, then fireside bench.
A wood framed banquette frames the dining space.  Herman Miller Eames Shell Chairs and Alvar Aalto Pendants decorate the eating area.
The 28-foot Airstream International Series features interiors by Christopher C. Deam; it sleeps up to six people and includes camping chairs, a gas grill, kitchen amenities, and bike rack.
The Drop Hat pendants are by Plumen and the convertible sofa is by Resource Furniture.

The home’s elevator features a glass cab and exposed mechanical elements. The already high Victorian ceilings were extended vertically to the top of the attic’s pitch, where a skylight was added.

Glass doors printed with a serigraphy technique (above) are on two sides of the house. Jacquot sits at a dining table and benches designed by Arba and built by Menuiserie Ressy.
