The most hands-on part of the inn’s facelift happened in the bar and adjacent lounge area, where the front desk was removed and the bar was elongated. A new bar-back was constructed out of wood shelving and supported by copper piping.
In the lounge, banquettes are upholstered in Lee Jofa’s Saranac Cord fabric in gold.

"We maximized natural lighting, ventilation, and contact with the outdoors in all environments, which sometimes open onto the street at the height of the treetops, or opens onto an outdoor area with a tropical garden," explains the architects.
The dining area leads to the kitchen which sits behind a grand wooden pocket-door, allowing the space to be closed off as needed.
The bar in the dining room features patterned tiles from the Ann Sacks Modern Line, picking up the same material palette and colors as the kitchen to create a seamless flow.
On one end of the top floor communal space, is a white volume, which neatly contains the kitchen, pantry, and toilet.

The craftsmanship integral to the experience of the house is evident in the welds of the custom steel windows, the tool marks of the waxed hot-rolled steel panel at the kitchen island, and the hand-turned walnut seats of the bar stools.
Scalloped Sapele wood slats on the walls add a textural organic element—the tubular design a running motif in the design.
The paneling on the bar is Mutina Rombini tiles by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
The menu features creations from Mallorcan-born Michelin-kitchen veteran chef Vicente Fortea.
Many of the items in the home can be moved around easily, including this bar cart. Many of the customers who frequent Batch are between 20 and 40 years old, Meyer says, so much of the property's details appeal to that demographic.

When you visit The Distillery, you’ll find GinTonica on the first floor, a Spanish-inspired bar and kitchen that celebrates Spain’s connection to juniper. You can try a number of different experimental takes on the Gin and Tonic, which is served in a traditional Copa de Balón—a balloon goblet glass.
