Bedrooms are adorned with the same simple material palette.  Wood clad walls, white ceilings, large windows, and simple pops of color allow the views to remain as the focal point.

This custom glass structure by Ilex Construction allows for an abundance of light during the day. At night, Lightolier fixtures on the ceiling illuminate the Ella bed. Sherwin-Williams “Pure White” was painted on all interior walls.
A glass-enclosed master suite is equipped with automatic shades and sliding glass doors to a large terrace that appears to float weightless over the lights of Los Angeles.
Boys Bedroom
A wardrobe with wooden doors on the first floor bedroom contains and hides the shower and toilet.
In 2014, a master bedroom and two guest rooms were added, as well as a library that also works as circulation, increasing the square footage of the retreat to 2,400 square feet.
Inside, Metropolitan armchairs by B&B Italia and Artek stools flank a Morsø stove. The Flor rug tiles are arranged in a custom pattern.

In the principal bedroom, wallpaper from Hygge & West hovers over the George Nelson Thin Edge Bed from Design Within Reach. Horner also added multiple skylights throughout the house to bring in more light.
The living area is appointed with small, efficient furnishings, including a rolling tray table by Hans Bolling and a Diplomat Sleeper Sofa by Blu Dot (a second one is situated opposite the Murphy bed).

The real gem is the master bedroom which features sliding doors that open to the expansive backyard—perfect for embracing indoor/outdoor living.

Now coated with Behr's Silver City and boasting new flooring and furniture, the master bedroom is much brighter and airier, but Ashley has big plans in place, including removing the door to the kitchen and adding a door to the backyard.
The detached guest house is a spacious one-bedroom retreat, complete with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.

In the bedroom, full height glazing allows natural light to fall deep into the apartment.  Elegant, white curtains provide privacy as needed, well matching the surrounding wall colors.

The double-height master bedroom is Dave’s favorite place in the house, particularly when the moon is shining. The bed, planter, and side tables are all from West Elm; the tapestry above the bed is from Southeast Asia.

Perhaps the room that most reflects our personality is the bedroom.
