The custom built-in bed and bedside tables are from ABD Studio. The art above the bed was commissioned from James Surls.
Now coated with Behr's Silver City and boasting new flooring and furniture, the master bedroom is much brighter and airier, but Ashley has big plans in place, including removing the door to the kitchen and adding a door to the backyard.
In the bed nook, a pull-out sofa was swapped out for a mattress decked out in neutral and textural linens, as well as a built-in nightstand.
Glass walls are fitted on two sides of the master bedroom.
The master bedroom opens to the terrace and a stunning view.
All the pods are equipped with organic bedding and efficient pellet wood‑burning stoves adding to the cozy interiors.

Custom folding doors, inspired by Rudolf M. Schindler’s 1930 Elliot House, were created by Rene Maya to Andrew’s specifications.
A pair of floating nightstands in the master bedroom are by Børge Mogensen; the sconces are by Kurt Versen and came with the house. The panel of fabric over the oak Matera bed from Design Within Reach is Incantation, by Lustig— the piece was originally used as a curtain.
The bed, bedside tables, and console are all designed by Miguel Marcelino. The Glo-Ball bedside lamps are by Jasper Morrison and the Tolomeo wall lamp is by Michele De Lucchi. - Lisbon, Portugal Dwell Magazine : July / August 2017
