The apartment’s most striking feature is a custom wall and ceiling mural by Calico Wallpaper, inspired by Vancouver’s Stanley Park. The Asher bed is by Rove Concepts, the sconces are Pearl Modern Wall Sculpture by Cedar & Moss, and the bedside tables are from Crate & Barrel. A mohair throw by Bronte Moon falls across Frette linens.
To the south of the "great room" is a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed.
Inside, Metropolitan armchairs by B&B Italia and Artek stools flank a Morsø stove. The Flor rug tiles are arranged in a custom pattern.

The bedroom is predominately oak with a custom-designed bed and nightstand. The lighting in this room is also by Sangaré.

Zee's bedroom is filled with her hat collection as well as a wood knot from Katie Gong, the most represented of artists in her space, and hanging bells from Mudpuppy Ceramic Studio.
The living area is appointed with small, efficient furnishings, including a rolling tray table by Hans Bolling and a Diplomat Sleeper Sofa by Blu Dot (a second one is situated opposite the Murphy bed).

The master bedroom contains a custom-made platform bed with a simple white oak headboard. While sitting in bed, the homeowner can look directly out to the balcony and the valley beyond.

As soon as you enter the Hideout suite, it becomes evident the room has been built on ideas of customization and comfort. Comprised of two sleeping areas, a sauna, kitchen, and bathroom, guests can rest assured knowing they will have all the needed amenities for a unique stay.
The fusuma sliding doors allow for changes in internal spatial configuration, where rooms can be closed off for a more cloistered, private setup, or opened to connect to other functional zones or to let more light in.

The wood beams were in poor condition and needed to be cleaned up and treated with oil.
Another big architectural move was to redefine the unfortunate layout of the upstairs master suite. Yun moved the bedroom to one side and put the bathroom behind a wall.  The purple-blue tiles around the fireplace were designed by one of the owners and represent clocks with different hours—a reference to how watching the fire can be the best way to pass the time.
Wood paneling and a platform bed was a perfect solution for fitting a king-sized bed into a small space.
Vaulted ceilings allow for a spacious loft, complete with the second bedroom.  Skylights draw plentiful daylight into the lofted space.
There is also a staircase that leads to a second bedroom and hammock/sitting area. The slight changes in elevation help to create added visual interest within the suite.

To round out the house-like appearance, Larsen refers to the space around the wooden volume as the "outside garden," which is complete with a rain shower and step-down tub.
The architect, Sigurd Larsen, aligned the openings in the walls to maximize natural light in the room. The folding doors, hatches, and windows of varying shapes and sizes encourage play.

"With this room you get a whole house," says Larsen. "Pure and calm from the outside, the many doors and windows reveal a warm wooden interior."

Designed by Anda Andrei and Danish interior design firm Space Copenhagen, 11 Howard in New York City bears the Bauhaus DNA of warm Scandinavian minimalism and New York industrial sleekness.
