A contemporary vision and a modern remodel turned this dated home in the hills into an award-winning residence with a million dollar view. The West Hills Remodel is a remodel and addition to a 1950’s ranch in Portland's West Hills. The project shows what a strong architect-owner team can achieved when designing a modern family home within a modest budget. The project involved adding 2,000 sf to the existing 1,500 sf footprint. The S|EA team focused the design around the living-dining-kitchen hub, and took advantage of the commanding views to the south. The final result is a testament to what can be achieved when the goal is to create a contemporary, affordable and highly livable home for a growing family.
