From Irena Spencer Interiors

With its small, inefficient kitchen and closed off spaces, the 780-square-foot area lacked clear function, style and inviting livability. Inspired by the simplicity, utility and beauty of Scandinavian design and the modernism of Art Deco, Irena Spencer Interiors transformed the space into a warm and balanced sanctuary.

To open up the floor plan and create an inviting ambience, she installed pocket doors on the floors two rooms and maximized storage throughout with stunning custom-built cabinetry in the living room. The entirely revamped kitchen now boasts sky-high custom cabinets and a stunning granite countertop island – styled in a chic and sophisticated appeal. In keeping with the airy look and feel, Irena installed French doors off the kitchen to gain access to the cozy backyard space.

Letting the beauty of the architecture and custom fixtures shine, Irena chose a warm neutral color palette. The subtle and stylish look creates both an elegant and restful feeling. Colorful art and decorative pieces deliver a dynamic balance.
