Spanish cuisine has a rural and coastal origin. It is the result of a civilization with a variety of people, environments, and climatic conditions. Respecting ancient recipes is a sacred practice in Tapa. A new perspective on gastronomic and spatial innovation, on the other hand, complements it.

Tapa is an elegant and warm space where you can witness the rituals of the gastronomic proposal being prepared live, taste sourdough bread with grated tomato, drink a very cold “tinto de verano”, meditate, talk, and laugh.

As you enter, you can see the bar as a point of coexistence. For the user in a hurry, it is functional and discreet; and for those who want to stay and enjoy themselves with friends, it is comfortable and vibrant.
The furniture was designed to reorganize the space on one side, leaving the front portion for the dining room, which benefits from the double height, and the back portion for the service areas (kitchen, chef's bar, and restrooms).

The textures and colors used in the construction of this area were inspired by Granada's customs, rituals, and colors. A colour scheme of greens, oranges, reds, and browns creates a bright, cheery, and welcoming space in Monterrey's western area, where lovely sunset views can be appreciated all year.

The two woodwork tones were chosen so that the dining area's movement, which features dark-toned furniture, is contrasted by the light tone that serves as the backdrop. The light fixtures emit a warm diffused light, and the walls are tinted a dark green. The wood-framed artwork was created specifically for Tapa. Interior openings are kept to a minimum, with only two discrete doors that draw no attention when in use.

For the purpose of establishing a spatial and perceptual continuity within the square where the restaurant is located, the light glass façade was preserved and dressed with wooden shutters that display a continuous and subtle swing between closing and opening. This lightness, when combined with a rigid rough-cast concrete floor, allows warm, soft textures and other solid textures to establish an interesting material dialogue that emphasizes the significant difference in the architectural functions.

Tapa is ready to surprise its customers with a cozy environment that exudes closeness, comfort, luxury, and simplicity, as well as a carefully selected delicious gastronomic offer and a tapas service under the motto: It's not courtesy, it's tradition.
