From Buro Arquitectura | Taller de Arquitectura Herrera Arochi

Located in the mountains surrounding Valle de Bravo, dominating the visual to the dam and the setting sun bathed the house at sunset with warm and soft light.

Monolith concrete trapezoidal intended as a sculpture that emerges from the hill. At level "0" is vehicular access, parking, gardens and BBQ, on the first level, distributed linearly obeying views, wind and sunlight room with bathroom, and service areas. Upstairs as a prominent part of the monolith module services (kitchen + toilette), pedestrian access, social areas and a terrace. In linear distribution (dining + room + bar) are covered by a slab light supported by beams and wood contrasts with the heaviness of the key elements of concrete and surrounded by folding glass to feel this area as a large terrace which maintains a dialogue constant and vital to the landscape, making it the main object of admiration, and opening to the prevailing winds and sunlight controlled louvers to regulate the temperature of the house. At the end of this area is the pool, black, outdoor privileged overlooking the mountains, the dam and the gardens 3 levels below.

Materials, construction process and the project was designed by the feelings they bring, textures and lack of pretension scenic, leaving the leading role to the volumes, shadows, textures, and evidently the landscape. And generate the least environmental impact and energy consumption.
