Three years ago I set myself a goal to transform the place where I live from a usual IKEA ordinarity into “my place”, which will be reflecting interests, philosophy, way of thinking. Being surrounded by things designed by people I admire and respect, furniture and lighting, home appliances, art objects. Things which I never was able to have while growing in Soviet Union and living in Russia. Things which might been designed or was built before I even was born and still perfectly service their goals. These three years were a great study and exploration time where I learned a lot about design, architecture, art history and now I finally completed the major part of the goal! Still some things and areas need to be finalised or improved while now it’s a good time for the bigger ambitious goal to build a house in next whatever years, way to go!
