Once a compact kitchen, this space was opened up to a large great room. Two islands provided the function the family needed—one to enjoy meals and do homework around and one to use for food prep and kitchen clean up. With the new linear fireplace clad in large format tile, the space is cozy and practical. Floor plan modifications gave this busy family a much needed main level mud room and laundry in lieu of a rarely used formal dining room. After completing the main level remodel in this home, a large sectional covered in ultra-durable performance fabric, leather swivel chairs, and custom drapery were added for comfort and style.
