North Granados House

This unique Solana Beach property is home to a family with young children. The lot abuts the San Elijo lagoon, with serene distant views of the hills beyond. By demolishing the existing home that did not serve the needs of a growing family, the second story bedrooms and play room capture new views of Cardiff to the Northwest. During the design process, the second floor was strategically rotated and carved away to respect neighbors’ ocean views across the lot. The resulting 3,500 sf home is a modern twist on a classic style, providing a cozy yet-clean lined nest.
