From Hsu McCullough
With a coastal Mediterranean-leaning design interest in materials and colors, this 2-story home was designed to accommodate the needs of a family of 4 while combining a simple material palette with an abundance of natural light in all rooms. The client’s main objective was to have several family gathering spaces of appropriate size throughout the property - indoor and outdoor - on both floors for kids, parents, friends and family to enjoy together at once.
There was a conscious effort during the design process to minimize the size of the bedrooms, closets and bathrooms for the greater comfort and expansiveness of the shared spaces.
