This 28′ square (784 SF) two-module lakefront weeHouse provides an open porch as well as an enclosed room with a woodstove and kitchen wall. (Bathroom facilities are located nearby in the main house.) The porch features a custom pivoting door and a bug screen fabricated from an operable weighted curtain with magnetic catches. Typically used for entertaining during fair weather Wisconsin summers, the bright blue and yellow cementitious “Container” siding reinforces the playful use of the house. Modified from standard weeHouse specs, they are ipe floors inside and out along with IKEA’s eucalyptus cabinets. A “folding” deck and dock in ipe and rubbed silver paint finishes the composition.
