After a more than a million-dollar renovation, this stunning Tribeca loft with unparalleled design is complete. The owner, Scott Bruckner, enlisted the highly distinguished Voorsanger Architects to transform the light and airy loft into a modern marvel with an edge.
Mr. Bruckner is a notable financier who spent most of his years working overseas. He returned to New York and wanted to reimagine the loft he purchased into an “event.” Voorsanger Architects soon realized their client was willing to take risks and hoped for a finished product that was entirely out of the ordinary. Mr. Bruckner always had a deep appreciation for both design and the arts, so he was naturally very involved in the renovation. They then collaborated to transform the mundane loft into the sculptural work of art it is today.
This brilliant masterpiece features a 50-foot limestone wall that wraps around the entryway and living area. This one-of-a-kind aspect links all of the spaces together and creates a visual path throughout the apartment.
Mr. Bruckner thought of creating a desk from a slab of steel coated in white enamel that protruded out of the office wall. While working with Voorsanger, he fell in love with the different dimensions and geometric angles highlighting the muted abstract design in the loft.
Another bespoke aspect of this home is the enormous master bedroom with a custom acid-treated metal wall.
This strikingly unique loft also features a breathtaking Dr. Caligari-style entrance and a private home gym.
