Lindsey Architects was delighted to be chosen to design this river view home. Given the house's location, it was necessary to obtain approval from the local historic commission. In order to maintain the natural balance with the surrounding neighborhood and the new home, the design incorporated historic materials such as a wood shingled roof and stucco.

The interior of the house was designed to be open and modern, with a strong emphasis on capturing the views and directing attention towards the river. Lindsey Architects carefully placed windows and walls strategically to optimize the views and create a seamless flow throughout the house.

The goal was to ensure that the interior spaces were visually connected to the outdoor surroundings, allowing occupants to enjoy the picturesque river views from various vantage points within the home. By doing so, Lindsey Architects aimed to create a harmonious relationship between the indoor and outdoor spaces, enhancing the overall living experience.

The design approach employed by Lindsey Architects sought to strike a balance between the historical context of the area and the modern needs and preferences of the homeowners. The use of historic materials on the exterior helped the home blend in with its surroundings, while the interior design prioritized contemporary aesthetics and functionality.
