Situated on an estuary, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean, the extraordinary location provided a special opportunity to create the best possible response to the landscape. The panoramic views and local climate were main driving principles, which informed the architectural design response. The design’s spatial magic lies in the guiding principle that all primary spaces of the residence were to be oriented to frame the captivating 270-degree views the site has to offer. Housing a multitude of floor-to-ceiling glazed panes, the rear maximizes the vistas of the pristine tranquil waterfront and infuses sunny serenity into the home. Throughout the day, light and ambience alter within, travelling with the colours of the water and sky – from clear blue in the morning to fiery tones at sunset.
