BREATHTAKING, RELAXING, INCREDIBLE, is what this new Hamptons house truly represents. The Hamptons on Long Island is one of the most requested destinations to visit and live, especially in the Summer. Although our style leans towards modernistic, we had a great opportunity to renovate a typical traditional shingle style home and design a comfortable modern interior. This project is located in Georgica Pond, East Hampton.
The porch is designed with mahogany angled ceiling Tongue & Groove boards and square thick exterior grade board of plywood framing. The dynamic ceiling mahogany features run continuously throughout the interiors without being overwhelming. The carefully custom multi-pane windows provide effective natural sunlight, creating a beautiful aesthetic in both the exterior and interior designs.
The 1,030-square foot living room and entertainment space is highlighted by the high-vaulted ceilings and surrounding balcony. Imported from France, three delicate chandeliers were carefully spaced on the ceiling to express the lighting features that a set the tone for the entire space. It was important to our clients that we created a space with a clean, modern design but also be a comfortable space for the family to sit around. Our team further enhanced the design by selecting exquisite furnishings, contemporary yet modern and added a “pop of color” to the final design. In the study area, custom cerused oak shelving unit is installed with white painted back splash. The warm tones and modern furnishings throughout the room creates a comfortable working atmosphere.
The design of the master suite has great design elements including the high ceiling, window panes and detailed walls. A comfortable seating nook is placed in front of the windowpanes, which helps to create that cozy atmosphere along with the natural light. The subtle color palate creates an inviting feel throughout the room.
