Updated a craftsman bungalow for the evolving need of this family, we added an addition to the back of the house to give the homeowners a new kitchen / great room as well as a new master ensuite. Renovating the existing house gave them the updated look with historic elements they wanted to make the house flow. The exterior was renovated with hardscaping, landscaping and new paint for the home.

While the house was raised to bring it off the ground, a new entrance was built with brick walkways, brick steps, custom handrails and railings to give his old bungalow a majestic feel.

The entrance to the new ensuite incorporated pocket doors to maximize floor space. 2 new closets with french pocket doors created a dressing area for the homeowners who previously had 2 small closets flanking the windows in the bedroom.

A new deck was built on the back of the house at the same height as the interior floors. This become one of the favorite areas of the homeowners as it gave them a birds eye view of the large side yard.

Recently moved to Denver, Colorado, LeavittHaas is a boutique design firm focusing on the ergonomics of a home as well as unique finishes to give each home a unique feel that fits the needs and desires of their clients. Using 3D renderings, the company allows clients to "walk" their project before construction begins. A founding principle of the company is to look at the house as a whole during design and then stage the construction in phases in order to achieve the clients dream homes. Some clients only have one small project, while others realize that all interior and exterior projects need to be taken into account before the first project is begun.
