Evergreen Pointe House is organized around a central courtyard with views out to the Columbia River. The up-slope site required that the massing of the house step up the hill and form the courtyard on the second floor of the house above the tucked under garage. The courtyard features a green roof with integral patio space.
The house was designed and built prior to the construction of the surrounding homes. Site modeling was used establish our view corridors with assumptions on the neighbors massing. The orientation of the house and courtyard were then designed to maximize the views to the river while maintaining privacy and capturing daylight.
