Arlington Transitional Kitchen and Family Room

By

The homeowners enjoy entertaining and the party always ends up in the kitchen. The awkward configuration of the original space created a bottleneck for guests and walled off the cook. To remedy these flaws, two peninsulas disappeared, along with a portion of an angled wall. In its place, an L-shaped island provides ample counter top and storage space, while greatly improving the flow and eliminating bottlenecks. Now the homeowners can interact with guests in the family room from any location in the kitchen.
