Nestled on the serene shores of Indian Lake in the Adirondacks, this exquisite 1,900-square-foot home represents the perfect fusion of artistic vision and architectural elegance. Designed by renowned actor and architect Phil Consalvo, the house marries the rustic charm of a New England cabin with the minimalist beauty of a Japanese tea house. Upon arrival, the unique character of this residence is immediately evident. The exterior boasts a pitched roof and a robust stone foundation that blends seamlessly into the natural landscape, complemented by burned-wood siding that nods to traditional Japanese design. The property's elevated position provides breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains, ensuring a tranquil retreat. Inside, the home continues to impress with a harmonious mix of materials and finishes. Traditional elements like wood and wrought-iron railings, a stone fireplace with a wooden mantel, and powder-blue kitchen cabinets exude warmth and charm. Skylights and large windows bathe the interiors in natural light, creating a sense of openness and modernity. The 'bento box' glass extension at the back of the house is a standout feature, offering a glowing, inviting space that overlooks the lake. The thoughtfully designed living space includes one bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms,(the lower level has a full bath and could be a second bedroom) and an outdoor shower. Despite adhering to the original 500-square-foot footprint of the previous structure, the house cleverly maximizes space by building upwards, making efficient use of every inch. A dumbwaiter and strategically placed storage solutions ensure functionality across the three levels. Outdoors, approximately 1,000 square feet of additional living space awaits, featuring a covered boathouse, a spacious deck, and a cozy covered porch.
