Ipe paneling and concrete floors continue into the living area, where a photograph by Scott McFarland hangs above the fireplace. Surrounding the dining table, by Riva 1920, are walnut chairs the couple found locally.
In Kathryn Tyler’s finished home, a palette of wood, concrete, and painted brick forms a neutral backdrop for vintage treasures, including a $30 dining table, $3 poster, and a set of 1950s Carl Jacobs Jason chairs she snagged on eBay for $400.

The custom artwork is from LUMAS and the bedside tables are Chelsea Textile. The apartments also contain Bosch washers and dryers.
The bedroom enjoys ample natural light, thanks to the windows on either side of the Charles Rogers bed. “We centered all our bedroom doors around the central hallway skylight,” says Allison. The painting is by Pat Diaz.
The home’s built-in technology includes speakers by Current Audio installed in the ceiling in Valentine’s room.
