Wooden Household Products from On Our Table
Canada’s On Our Table began when Geoffrey Lilge was looking for cutting and charcuterie boards for his wife’s new restaurant. Intrigued by the elegant simplicity of a solid wood board, Lilge began making boards himself, and ultimately created a full line of kitchen and dining room objects made of wood. The BlockBowl from On Our Table is a versatile product that features two distinctive surfaces. The flat, circular surface can be used as a cutting board or serving board for cheeses and charcuterie, while the other side features a lipped bowl that can be used to serve nuts, olives, and other snacks.
The Rail Box from On Our Table is a simple wall-mounted piece crafted from solid black walnut. The simple box makes it easy to display one frame or several, and art can be changed out easily. The Rail can also be used to hold postcards and unframed prints—it can even be used in a kitchen to display a recipe for easy reference.
This Bread Box from On Our Table is a substantial piece that almost looks like a large block of wood. A small hole—designed to fit one’s finger—lets you remove the lid, which has a similar profile to the box beneath. The roomy box is built to hold a large loaf of bread, but it can also be used to hold other kitchen items.
