This off-grid retreat is quite literally nestled among the treetops in Epworth, Georgia.
A repurposed shipping container was transformed into a 300-square-foot living space.
The Colorado Camelot tree house in Manitou Springs, Colorado, is wrapped with Douglas fir and features a deck pierced by tree trunks.
Hung from ceiling rafters, the treehouse allows the playroom's ground floor to remain open.
With its entry door closed, there's plenty of room to take a nap or cozy up with a book.
A swing and nap nook bookend the treehouse.
The treehouse is shaped to allow light from two dormer windows to penetrate the otherwise windowless attic space.
Made from birch plywood, the treehouse even comes with lighting and electrical.
Architect Sonya Lee hid this custom tree house inside a typical Queens home.
