This home was a dream come true for me. I dreamt about living in a loft since childhood. It was love at first site when I saw the unit. The stained and polished concrete flooring, hardwood flooring, concrete ceilings, exposed pipes and duct work, and open kitchen cabinetry, instantly took my breath away. Last but not least, the stairs in the bathroom made the unit a no-brainer to lease. Even though the space was only 650 square feet, it felt airy due to my furniture choices and configurations. The style I chose to go with for the home was a mix of modern, contemporary, and mid-century. I considered the loft to be a constant, evolutionary project. I enjoyed every minute of living there, and maximizing every nook and cranny within the space.

Chairs by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller provide touches of mid-century modern to the living area.

The Tom Ford book adds sophistication to the dresser top, along with the ceramic flying pig and glass fillable lamp.

The walls and ceilings were painted with Valspar Dark Kettle Black to embrace the bathroom's windowless element.

The open shelving in the kitchen was used to display books, decor items, and dinnerware.

The dining area was outfitted with industrial style barstools as a nod to the loft's raw elements and features.
