Your home is a sanctuary that reflects who you are. Why surround yourself with cheaply-made housewares from a big-box store when you can build your home with lasting furnishings and well-crafted accents? Here are ways to invest in your nest.
Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum is the only museum in the country devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design. This collaboration with notNeutral draws upon the museum’s rich history and takes pieces from the collection and gives them new life.
This inaugural series features a selection of textile patterns designed by artists Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser; the black-and-white patterns were chosen for their bold, graphic quality with the intention that they could be mixed and matched with each other. The designs are adapted to decorate notNeutral's iconic LINO mugs, a set of four small plates, coasters, and wood serving trays. These entertaining pieces can be used with anyone’s existing white dinnerware as an ensemble, or one piece at a time to create an eye-catching table setting.
Reveal the light with the new Metal Brick Lamp! This minimal and portable interior LED lamp is activated when raised (on) or laid flat (off). It's powered by led panel light and rechargeable built-in lithium-ion battery with USB charging port and can be easily hooked up to almost any power source. The metal lamp is milled precisely out of a single piece of solid aluminum block. To give it a sleek metallic touch, it's complete with a sand blasted matte finish on the bevels and brush texture on the top surface.

The Eclipse table is a side table with a subtle defining feature. The inset wooden top can be rotated 180 degrees to create a large surface, exposing a tray-like recess. When kept in its most compact form, the table rests neatly against a wall, creating a reduced foot-print. The Eclipse table can be used in both bed-side and living room areas, an incredibly useful as well as beautiful piece of furniture. The Eclipse table is available in a range of colours, with either Ash or Oak tops.
Traditional ikat fabrics employ a highly complex hand dyeing technique that requires the artisan to map out the entire design on loose threads before placed them on the loom. This set of handwoven double ikat napkins use this ancient technique to create a modern, graphic pattern – a stunning addition to any dining table. Due to the handmade nature of this fabric, slight variations in size, weave and color are to be expected and add to the overall beauty of the item.
